I REALLY need to buy a certain song, but it is only available on iTunes and Amazon if I buy the whole album. Any other place that sells MP3 downloads for a dollar or less? Thanks a kablizillion!

not a "site" per say but do this homie google "band name - cd name" and after that put "site:www.mediafire.com" so your google should look like this "metallica - master of puppets site:www.mediafire.com" dont use the quotation marks tho,if its a particular song just try the song but thats a lil tougher, most uploads are whole cd’s.VERY RELIABLE,no virus EVER! ive got about 50 gigs of music on my external from that site.i am yet to find ANY cd i want that wasnt on mediafire, and as a foot note all downloads are compressed (zipped) or in .rar format so downloads are super quick (i average a cd download in 3-4 minutes) so you have to extract or unzip your downloads via 7zip or winzip or whatever you have (and if your still lost that means right click on the downloads icon when its finished select "extract all" pick where you wanna extract it to an viola!) woot woot for pirating! sharing is caring bruthas so if you torrent out there seed please!!!

I’m thinking about joining one of those music sites that gives you unlimited downloads for ever once you’ve payed a small one off fee, but they sound just a little too good to be true.

So has anyone ever joined one, and are they worth the money?

Well if you ever watched the show ‘The Real Hustle’, where a group of scam artists show way people can scam you. The one thing they always say is ‘If it seems to good to be true, it probably is not true’

I don’t know about sites that offer unlimited free downloads for small one off fee, I would be dubious about it as downloads are done by licence per song or album and usually it’s pay as you go, though there are lot of sites that offer songs for pennies and albums for £1 or less.

I suppose if they have heavy adverts on the website or you may have to download a adware bar that shows you their sponsors adverts while you surf it may be possible, this would slow down site and probably the downloads, the software bar would probably interfere with surfing session while installed with pop ups all the time. They would have to pay for licence for every song downloaded by all users, so would have to have way to get that money back if they are planning to do it legally.

Rule of thumb I use is:- You don’t get anything for free (legally), someone always has to pay somewhere and its usually you.

If you have an example site with link, I could check it out to see if and where the catch is, or you could google the name of site in question putting a question mark and/or safe after it, this I tend to do before checking out a site I’m dubious about and usually get good results as there is always people who have gone before and their experiences can advice best..

so they are NOT legal

And the same goes for any site that only charges 5-10 cents per song
they are KEEPING the money and NOT paying the copyright owner

Then install it, once its installed, you can go on to youtube, right click on any video, and it will have an option to download. You can then put the videos straight into itunes and it should all work, hope this helps.

I’m assuming that you’re talking about legal unlimited services such as Napster, Rhapsody and Yahoo! Unfortunately, the iPod does not natively handle any of those services.

One option is to subscribe to any of the above (I use Rhapsody).

Download the songs you want in wma format.

Use fairuse4wm to strip the DRM from them (questionable about the legality, but very easy) and convert them to mp3 to load on to your iPod.

A little bit of work, but it is possible.
