Yahoo unlimited is not compatible with iTunes…..which programs are?
None.
I had an iPod, but got rid of it when I wanted to do the subscription service, and realized there aren’t any and Apple and Steve Jobs have said iTunes will never offer a service like that.
I got a zune instead which offers Zune Pass ( http://www.zune.net/en-us/meetzune/zunepass.htm ). Watch Monday when Zune will release it’s ‘nano’ version of Zune…..
I do not want limewire or any other illegal site. I just want a monthly subscription where I can download unlimited. Like napster to go, but that is not compatible.
napster
And make sure it is legal. And it does not have to be free. And make sure it has a wide range of song choice.
i was looking for a unlimited music download site too.
finally, i found Video Download Studio.
it enables me to donwload muisc and vidfeo fron online videos website.
also if you need mp3 format , it is ok.

If a record label removes some of their songs from Yahoo Music Unlimited but I still have the copies I downloaded from YMU — will they still play as long as my subscription is good?
Thanks in advance!
If a record label removes some of their songs from Yahoo Music Unlimited but I still have the copies I downloaded from YMU — will they still play as long as my subscription is good?
[These are 'subscription' DL's -- not outright purchases -- which I've had bad luck with -- disappearing DRM rights. On the old Musicmatch On Demand, music would sometimes disappear after it had been around for a while. Which always bugged the HECK out of me.]
I’d just like to know if there’s even a POINT to DLing the files to my hard drive — since my internet connection is always on.
If they’ll be good as long as I keep my subscription — even if the label pulls them — then it makes the DL worthwhile.
But if the label pulling them ALSO revokes my ability to play my local copy — then what’s the point of DLing? (In my case.)
If you paid for the songs and they are burnable, you should be ok. Otherwise ?.
Added:
I understood your original question, but could not find any documentation to answer your question. It is a very good question. I suspect you are out of luck once the digital rights expire and YMJ attempts to reacquire the license.
I need some recommendations for paid programs that will let me legally download music. I would prefer a one payment type program, not one such as Wal-Mart music or others that charge for each song.
Napster. :/ Or… if you want to do it without paying… And Im pretty sure it’s legal, go to playlist.com on internet explorer, search for a song, play it, wait for it to buffer ALL the way, then go to tools>internet options>settings>view files and the mp3 will be there. Then just drag it in to your my music folder then into itunes or whatever.
I need an unlimited service where you don’t have to pay for every song but where you can download as many as you want for a monthly or yearly fee.
oh yeah sorry I forgot to add I have an IPod
There are monthly music download services now. The largest are Napster, Emusic, and Rhapsody which cost anywhere from $12 to $15 per month.
To see a chart of all the monthly music services with pricing etc. check here:
http://www.musicdownloadreview.net
These services allow you to purchase tracks individually or you can sign up for a month-to-month or yearly fee and download all you want. It’s much cheaper than itunes.
I have just bought the Rhapsody To Go thing for $15 and whenever I click on the "buy song" button it says that I have to pay 1 dollar. What’s up with that? I thought that the package I bought included UNLIMITED downloads. Thank your for reading this over and for your answers.
BTW: I have an iTouch, any way I can get songs for that?
just hit the button, it always does that, they need to update it

I don’t mind paying for music, but if I do I want it to be a yearly/lifetime membership. I listen to some rather random music so the website needs to have a good library selection. Being able to download full albums would be a huge plus. Can you please help?
any site like that would STILL be illegal because they dont pay the artists
the artists spend hundreds of hours PER SONG
and spend thousands of dollars PER SONG (recording)
they should be paid PER SONG
just like you expect to be paid per HOUR when YOU work
would you like to work, for a few hundred bucks, per YEAR?
didn’t think so
